Life Cycle of the Northern Snakehead Fish

Check out the life cycle of the Northern Snakehead fish! It is a group of clustered egg atop the water and closely guarded by the parents. Usually, circular vegetation give the offspring protection from predators as well as the parents continuing to do so. This fish grows pretty fast and at 2-3 years or about approximately 30-35 cm in length snakeheads become sexually mature. As adults, they primarily consume fish but will also eat small mammals, amphibians, birds and aquatic insects. If you do catch one, don't hesitate to kill this scary looking fish, it is a delicious white meat fish!
